David is responsible for ensuring that Myers & Co complies with statutory and regulatory requirements.
David joined the team at Myers & Co in October 2018.
He brings over 25 years’ experience in the legal sector having been a commercial litigation solicitor and partner in several law firms before focussing on practice management and compliance.
This has given David an insider’s perspective on how a law firm operates from the grass roots up to the top, making him well placed to keep an eye on the increasingly important and complex compliance and regulatory requirements.
David has a strong reputation for driving and delivering excellence in all aspects of client care. He has a proven track record of success in maintaining high standards of practice management and accreditation.
Needless to say, that David has a thorough and detailed knowledge of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Rules and Code of Conduct and he is dedicated to maintaining the highest quality of service and professional standards. He is also the firm’s Data Privacy Manager.
Outside of work David likes to spend time working on his family’s farm. He enjoys restoring machines and bringing them back to life, whether they be old land rovers or motorcycles. His talents extend to growing his own fruit and vegetables, cooking, baking and making jam.
David’s claim to fame is that he got a personal best in the 1995 London Marathon so never ran another marathon again (or before).
David is also heavily involved in the governing bodies of several primary schools in Derbyshire. He has held the positions of governor, vice chairman and chairman over the years, working to ensure the continued success of the school, staff and all the young people who attend.
