East Cheshire Chamber seminar: 10 legal mistakes every business should avoid
26 May 2016
Our regular legal seminars for the East Cheshire Chamber explore topical issues facing business owners in the region. This time, Dermot Callinan, business services director, Tim Newsome, head of dispute resolution, and John Elkin, employment law specialist will be looking at the ‘10 legal mistakes every business should avoid.’
The seminar will look at examples of expensive mistakes made by real businesses and provide Chamber members with simple tips so that your business can avoid the same pitfalls.
We will focus on case studies of the demise of two previously successful companies, explaining why it happened and how it could have been avoided:
- a recruitment agency that was turning over £5 million+ which, within 18 months of the unexpected departure of its key directors, went into administration and the main shareholder was being pursued under personal guarantees; and
- a profitable company that had to put itself into liquidation following a dispute between its two business owners.
A complimentary breakfast will be provided.
To reserve your place on the seminar, or for any further information, contact Danielle Chadwick at Myers & Co Solicitors, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire on 01782 525005 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also book a place for a colleague or friend who could be a potential East Cheshire Chamber member.
