As our charity partnership with the UHNM Charity draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a truly meaningful year of fundraising, community spirit, and shared compassion.
Over the past 12 months, our team at Myers Solicitors has come together to support the UHNM Charity’s appeal to create a special outdoor contemplation area at Royal Stoke University Hospital. This space is being designed to offer comfort and solace to parents who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or baby.
We’re proud to have raised and donated £2,500 through a variety of staff-led activities, including cake sales, dress-down days, raffles, a Valentine’s tombola, and even rounding up loose change. Every event was filled with energy, creativity and heart.
The UHNM Charity aims to raise £50,000 to bring this peaceful garden to life. At the heart of the area will be a statue of a forget-me-not flower, symbolising remembrance and hope for bereaved families.
We were honoured to receive a touching thank you letter from Rebecca at UHNM Charity, which beautifully captured the spirit of our partnership. She said:
“We really appreciate all the amazing energy, creativity, and heart you’ve poured into these events. It is thanks to organisations just like yours that we are able to make things better for our patients, their families and the staff who treat them.
Your donation will help us to provide important equipment, new facilities, pioneering research and all the important extras that make our care so special.”
So far, the appeal has raised just over £17,000, bringing the vision of a dedicated contemplation area one step closer to reality.
It’s a cause that resonated deeply with our team, and we’re proud to have played a part in helping UHNM Charity continue their vital work.
