Simply faultless service from Gemma

In the last 3 years alone I have had 14 separate property transactions and used several different solicitor firms, in the last 20 years I have dealt with a dozen or more different firms. None of them offered anywhere near the level of service that Gemma did. I always felt with Gemma that the transaction was progressing as fast as possible and she provided very easy to understand updates all the way through that contained just the right level of detail (never had that before - I always had to chase updates with other firms and it was like pulling teeth and then the updates were poor quality). Gemma is clearly very experienced and works very hard for her clients, and her experience means that she can foresee delays and knows how to lessen them. I expect other solicitors can lessen delays but never before have I got the impression that they have gone that extra mile to constantly chase the other side and third parties up (lenders etc) to lessen the delays like Gemma does. Other firms seem to take the attitude that ‘It will happen when it happens’ and not bother to try and make it happen sooner. Numerous times Gemma would inform me of a hurdle at the same time as telling me of the steps she had already taken to get over it (problem and solution in one email was very much appreciated and made for a much more relaxing experience). Gemma always did exactly what she said she would giving exacting timescales and then reported back that she had done it for all key parts of the transaction. Of course lots of things were going on in the background that I did not need to be updated or advised on, but Gemma had a very canny knack of knowing what was important for me to be updated on. I am not the easiest client to have as I do micro-manage at times and am quite particular, plus I can get frustrated if I feel that the solicitor is not progressing the matter as fast as they could. Never once did I get that impression with Gemma and the way she works meant that I did not get frustrated once and this greatly reduced my stress levels – which my wife also appreciated!
