At Myers & Co, we believe in supporting causes that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives especially within our local Staffordshire community.
That’s why we were proud to back the University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) Charity’s appeal to create a special outdoor contemplation area at Royal Stoke University Hospital for parents who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or baby.
The UHNM Charity is aiming to raise £50,000 to build a peaceful garden space at the hospital, designed to offer comfort and solace to bereaved families.
At the heart of the area will be a statue of a forget-me-not flower symbolising remembrance and hope.
To support this important initiative, our team at Myers & Co selected the appeal as our Charity of the Year for the 12 months to May. Throughout the year, staff organised a range of fundraising activities, including themed events, raffles, and cake bakes.
Thanks to their efforts and the generosity of everyone who took part we’re delighted to have donated £2,500 towards the campaign.

The area will make a big difference to families, and with Myers & Co’s fundraising efforts, we are a step closer to reaching our target.”
So far, the appeal has raised just over £17,000, bringing the vision of a dedicated contemplation area one step closer to reality.
